8:30 AM - 2:30 PM - Working Forest Bus Tour

9 AM - Moosehead Trails, Blue Ridge Hike & Bike Trail Work Day

1 PM - 2:30 PM - Blue Ridge Hike & Bike Sneak Peek Walk
Enjoy a one-hour sneak peek walk centered around Rum Pond with a presentation of the larger trail vision and interaction with the trail crew. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP.
3 PM - Colby Woodsmen Demonstration
Watch old-time logging skills like chopping and ax throwing.
5 PM - Woodsmen Supper
Enjoy a meal fit for a lumberjack at the Greenville Masonic Hall.
7 PM - Sumner McKane, "In The Blood"
Join us for a presentation of Sumner McKane’s documentary, “In The Blood” illustrating the life, skills and character of turn-of-the-century Maine lumbermen. The documentary will be presented at the Center for Moosehead History (6 Lakeview Street).
Saturday, August 13
9 AM - Big Moose Mountain Fire Tower Dedication
Opening ceremony of the restored Big Squaw Fire Tower at the Moosehead Lake Visitor Center (480 Moosehead Lake Road). Light refreshments will be served.
10 AM to 2:30 PM - Game of Logging Competition
Cheer on your favorite logger as they compete in events like sawing, speed cutting and precision felling.
10 AM to 3 PM - Craft Fair
Browse handmade, local products like jewelry, decorations, art and more. Browse and discuss land use issues at area organization booths.
10 AM to 3 PM - Free Horse and Carriage Rides
Noon - Chainsaw Carving Exhibition
Chainsaw Wood Carver Mike Thurlow will showcase his artistic chainsaw carving skills.
1:30 PM - Smokey Bear
Bring the kids out to meet Smokey Bear as he promotes fire safety.
6 PM to 9 PM - Katahdin Murder Mystery Cruise
What will happen is anyone’s guess in this fun Murder Mystery Party hosted by the Center Theatre and the Slightly Off-Center Players. Boarding is at 6pm. Cruise from 7 – 9pm. Fine hors d’oeuvres will be served. Feel free to bring your own wine to complement the cheese selections $50 per person.
